Monthly Meetings

Post #1819 holds monthly meetings with Post members on the first Thursday of every month via tele/video conference only.

Minutes from last month’s meeting, the agenda for the meeting, and call-in instruction will be found in the email that goes out to all Post members.

Typical meeting agenda:

  1. Opening conducted with POW/MIA, prayer, Pledge, and Preamble
  2. Adjutants Report:
    a. Finance
    b. Membership
    c. Sick Call
  3. Meeting Minutes voted on
  4. Vote on new member application(s) if any
  5. Various Post topics to discuss
  6. Next meeting specified/announced.
  7. Closing/prayer

The Pledge of Allegiance

Preamble to the Constitution
FOR GOD AND COUNTRY WE ASSOCIATE OURSELVES TOGETHER
FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES:

To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America;
To maintain law and order;
To foster and perpetuate a one hundred percent Americanism;
To preserve the memories and incidents of our associations in all wars;
To inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the community, state and nation;
To combat the autocracy of both the classes and the masses;
To make right the master of might;
To promote peace and goodwill on earth;
To safeguard and transmit to posterity the principles of justice, freedom and democracy;
To consecrate and sanctify our comradeship by our devotion to mutual helpfulness.
